Set in Varkiza, Athinas residential building is an apartment building whose white terraces step out like decks extending the interior open-plan living areas towards the exterior. A planted vertical void and screens of slender fins weave the floors together, softening sun while extending each home’s living space into the open air. The long side of the building bearing all the service and private areas is weaved as a sculpture creating extrusions and extrusions along with framed windows that bring light in. The result is high end living in an urban setting near the sea.
